FibriBoard

FibriBoard is our range of pre-consolidated sheets dedicated to thermoforming and thermocompression processes using Infra-Red heating technologies.

FibriBoard pre-consolidated sheets are produced from FibriPlast nonwoven mats after an additional pre-compression step, which bestows the rigidity of a thermoplastic composite. The densification of the sheet to a reduced thickness (4 mm to 8 mm) facilitates the heat transfer through the material during the heating step of the process.

As FibriPlast nonwoven mats, FibriBoard products, available in Glass/PP or Natural Fibre/PP versions, in weights ranging from 1000 g/m2 to 2400 g/m2, can be used for the manufacturing of automotive interior parts (parcel shelves, door panels, headlinings, trunk trims…).

Moreover, FibriBoard products are a lighter alternative to wood flour/PP materials.

Natural Fibre/PP FibriBoard products are also of big interest for bio-based and lightweight solutions for Furniture and a wide range of non-automotive applications.
